Dr. Carniciu is a dream. She has the most amazing bedside manner and is meticulous. I had a birth mark on my lower eyelid that she removed. I was nervous about the process but she and her team made me feel comfortable - she talked me through the entire procedure and made it a seamless experience. She followed up afterwards to check in and made herself available for any questions. I’m very satisfied with her practice and would highly recommend her.
Dr. Carniciu did any amazing job that resolved my two month ordeal of getting rid of a bad stubborn eye stye. I had an eye stye in early December (probably started earlier) that despite numerous appointments with my eye doctor wouldn’t go away. My eye doctor retired from doing surgery so referred me to other doctors, which I had trouble to get a quick appointment. The situation was affecting me going into office to work. I did my research and gave NY Eye & Face a try. Not only I got an appointment the next day but also Dr. Carniciu took the stye out in the same appointment. She is very good with eye lid surgeries. I had minimum discomfort and the site was healing beautifully. The office staff are super nice and organized. Great practice!

I met with Dr. Carniciu for a consultation to discuss revision surgery. She was very welcoming and listened to the setbacks I experienced from my past surgery and ALL of my concerns without judgment and with empathy. She took the time to discuss treatment options descriptively and more importantly, I did not feel rushed or pressured and was encouraged to take the time I needed to reflect on our discussion. When I left her office, I finally felt comfortable in moving forward to address the poor outcome I experienced with my first surgery.
